Hello world! It’s me, the Pocket RD, coming to you live from your very own back pocket. My name is Kelly and I’m your go-to pocket guide for all things nutrition. I’m a Registered Dietitian and Certified Personal Trainer with a Master’s of Science in nutrition from Boston University. I live in the South Shore of Boston and am here to answer your nutrition questions, debunk all those myths, and sift through all that nutrition info that lives on the internet. It’s a tough job, but somebody’s gotta do it. Whether you have questions about nutrition claims in the media or just want an easy recipe or workout to fit your busy lifestyle, you have the perfect pocket-sized tool at your fingertips!
My nutrition philosophy is simple: eat well, eat everything, eat what you want…in moderation. Everything has its place, from broccoli to ice cream. Just because I’m a dietitian does NOT mean my diet is perfect. Far from it. At the end of the day, I’d rather enjoy everything that food has to offer instead of count its calories. I want to expose the trends and strip them down to what’s true and what’s just “popular”.
